You are looking at a set of ceramic beads hand formed from porcelain clay. There are two tube or barrel beads glazed with a wonderful 3-dimensional white crackle glaze over raw porcelain. The larger focal bead is a free form swirling shape that was glazed in a deep cobalt blue-black glaze, then dipped in to the same white crackle glaze.The two glazes work together to make a smooth semiglass reticulated finish.The beads were fired to cone 10 ( 2340 degrees F) in a reduction atmosphere.
